Mehmet from UK smart build based in the a10 great Cambridge roundabout approached us and asked for a total new revamp of his detached house he purchased. The house was in great need of updating as the house was not touched from back in the 30's when it was built. We carried out a design for a 4 meter rear extension under permitted development where Mermet decided not even go for planning permission to save time on the build and get straight into the build by registering with building control. We used London building control for the inspectors to over see the project. the other elements like the double storey extension and the loft conversion where all related to each other so we had to get planning permission. The case officer we had in the council ENFIELD was a nightmare asking us to amend drawings at least four times. We where keeping the house design traditionally but in ENFIELD council they like to always make a fuss on any extensions that you can see on the street. The council never make it easy for us but we know the loop holes and managed to get this through for a passed decision. Mehmet then registered the final extension drawings over to the inspectors for stage two design and then all was build by his own builders which managed to finish in just 8 weeks just before Christmas. I have never seen a set of workers working together really hard and the pace of work was outstanding. Not to mention the finish, please see pics and see the finished product all to high spec. finish.
