BELOW IS A STEP BY STEP GUIDE WHICH WILL ILLUSTRATE WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU COME TO US WITH A PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT

THESE ARE THE STAGES THAT DISCOUNT PLANS LTD CARRY OUT ON EACH PLANNING JOB.


STAGE 1

The first visit is a consultation with the client to develop a design together on what the proposal is in mind, this is not charged to the client in any way. Both client and surveyer are brought together going over planning ideas for the project. Survayers input to design requirements are put to the client helping the client understand the councils planning guidelines. The duty surveyer will sketch out ideas or add options to the design in some cases this will help in a conclusion to the final design and make the client happy with proposed proposal. Client will be shown previous passed jobs on a laptop so he or she can get a feel of the high standard CAD drawings that will be created for their project. The survayer will only take on a job design if the councils outcome is over an 85% chance pass rate. This is set out by Discount Plans Ltd as a guidline as Discount Plans Ltd are a fast track service, were we want every job passed first time, saving us time and the making a 100% satifaction service for the client. We will then set out an internal and external acreate digital measured site survey of property in mind. Photos of all external elevations will then be taken of property for our records.


STAGE 2

From all the site information gathered (dimensioned survey notes, sketches and photo's) our engineers and draughtsmen will produce high standard CAD drawings showing all the existing and proposed plans and elevations at a scale of 1:50 and 1:100. This will then all be completed back at the office an turned around in 5 working days. All drawings will be saved on file for clients review on second visit. The preperation is then made by downloading the relevant councils planning application forms for the proposed scheme. Discount Plans will retrieve online from Promap (an internet mapping company) a correct site address of an OS style base map at 1:1250 and a 1:500 block plan of site. 


STAGE 3

Second visit is to present Existing and Proposed Plans an Elevations to the client in the comforts of their own home. This is achieved by drawings being saved on a laptop and shown to the client for checking. Clients are free to amend or change their final design. Once client has run through the minor changes to all drawings and he or she is happy Discount Plans Ltd will print off Two orriginal copies of all drawings, then six further copies are made for the the relevant borough planning departments. The final planning pack will be DPL responsibility to issue on a recorded delivery dispach or by hand.


STAGE 4

Application submission pack sent to local borough council (includes all drawings - reports - photos - forms - OS base maps - Block plans - design and access statements) all by recored delivery or by hand, Discount Plans Ltd job is still not over untill councils decision - we act as your agent free of charge from start to finish.
